I used to wonder why people like to club. As in go clubbing. Cos to me, the place is just plain noisy, disturbing, full of dubious people(MEN) who just go to clubs to get laid, music sucks cos its hip hop this, hip hop that. Okay. Im biased, dont like hip hop. ANYWAY,
Yesterday was my first time in a club cos it was the post prom party at The Arena, it was everything I expected(not good things.) There I was, sitting on the stool, drinking my pepsi, watching people dance, got egged on to dance which I did because I didnt want to spoil the fun, only that when i 'dance', it's really just bopping my head to the music and maybe give a clap or two to make myself look livelier. Anyway, the experiece was very deep. How so?
I observed and realised people who club, who dance, who drink are really, not happy inside. Of course this doesnt apply to all but to many people, especially the young ones- Doing all the clubbing stuff gives them a temporary high, temporary happiness, they dont have to worry when they are dancing because the heavy basses, the people around them, the high volume of the music- the loudness of it all, numbs and overwhelms their worries and sadness. But when the music stops or when they get tired, when they get back to their seats, everything rush in and they remember why they are clubbing in the first place. Then they remember the break ups they just had, the quarrels they had with their family or friends and the tears come rushing in, the smiles disappear, the high fades and all is back to normal.
But this is just my perspective, I was sober because I hate liqour and I cant dance, maybe when you are able to fit in that scene which I don't, then one can understand the whole joy and purpose of clubbing. But in my opinion: clubbing, no clubbing, doesnt make a difference to your life.
By the way, a club is NOT the place for feminists. Seeing girls high on liqour dancing on a podium really seem like they are asking for it.

PROM WAS BORING. so not worth the heels and make up and being uncomfortable because of the a dress. But it was fun with friends.
Yes, so i wore my sec sch prom dress to my JC prom. hahahahha, want to make worth the money cos at least now, I wore it TWICE.
